Large ornate canopy above the niche
With three smaller niches with Bodhisattvas on the top

The layout of the stele indicates that this is a fragment of a votive stupa (cf. a fragment of identical composition with a crowned Buddha in a niche in the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, accession. no. B60S86+)
