Also known as the Model of 1891, with production from 1891 to 1911. This is a scarce high condition and highly desireable target variation. Ivory bead accented Lyman front sight, with an adjustable notch rear sight integrating an ivory sighting plane. The two line, two block address and patent marks are present on the barrel rib, bisected with "MODEL of 91", caliber marking on the left side of the barrel, and matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Casehardened wide target hammer and triggerguard, with correct Smith & Wesson First Model checkered extended grips.

Condition: Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish, showing bright edges, and scattered collector type handling marks. Bright and vivid case colors are present on the hammer, with the triggerguard turning silver. Grips are excellent, with a few light pressure dents and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
