Scarce World War II Mauser Model G41(M) Semi-Automatic Rifle with Sling

Manufactured circa 1941-1942. Uses the "Bang" pattern gas trap seen on other early German semi-automatics, in combination with a bolt action style, non-reciprocating bolt handle. On the first shot the bolt would be used to chamber a round and cock the striker, with the follow-up shots being gas-operated semi-automatic, with the option to revert to the bolt in event of a gas system failure. Hooded blade front and notch rear sight, distinctive gas trap at the muzzle, "G.41(M)/1942" on the receiver ring, and two position safety switch on the hinged dust cover. Smooth stock with milled barrel bands, brown leather sling and cupped buttplate.

Very good as professionally custom refinished, showing 95% of the commercial grade blue finish, with mild sub-surface pitting and matching external numbers overall. The stock is very good, with mild dents and scratches. Mechanically very good. A fine example of an important milestone in Axis weapons development.
