Scarce World War II Japanese Tokyo Arsenal Baby Nambu Semi-Automatic Pistol with Two Matching Magazines and Original Holster

This is a an excellent example of a pre-war Japanese Baby Nambu pistol as manufactured by the Tokyo Koishikawa arsenal. This pistol has a high quality rust blue finish and straw colored trigger, magazine release, sear pivot pin and bolt lock with a bright finished bolt, and checkered mahogany grips. The magazine has a nickel plated body with an aluminum base. The top of the chamber area bears the four intertwined cannon balls of the Tokyo Arsenal and the right side of the receiver has the Japanese Kanji markings over the serial number "3561". The matching serial numbers are also visible on the underside of the bolt, the back side of the cocking knob, the back of the both magazines, and on the inside of the left grip panel. It is complete with an original Japanese Baby Nambu holster. The "Baby" Nambu is perhaps the most desirable Japanese semi-automatic pistol.

Excellent with 90% of the blue finish overall with the grip straps showing a light brown patina starting to form. The grips are excellent with nice sharp checkering and minimal handling marks. The holster is very good with a nice brown color overall showing wear and scuffing on the flap, and age cracking down the front of the holster, with a small tear on the front edge of the flap. As noted this rare pistol has matching numbers to includes both magazines.
