Scarce World War II 1943 Dated Late Production Krieghoff Luger Rig with Two Matching Magazines Luftwaffe Proofed Holster and Takedown Tool

This is a very nice example of a rare WWII 1943 dated military contract Krieghoff P.08 Luger, that is complete with two matching magazines with an undated Luftwaffe "Eagle 2" proofed black leather holster and Krieghoff proofed tool. The 1943 dated Luger pistols, falls into the serial number range of 11,300-11,800 with an estimate of only 300 total actually manufactured with 20-30 identified to date. This example is numbered "11655" and falls right in the middle of the noted serial number block. The chamber area is dated "1943" with the front toggle correctly marked with the late production C-2 style Krieghoff toggle marking that has the smaller "C" style radii anchor with the left point of the anchor, slightly outside the letter "H" with the right point touching the bottom of the "K", as shown on page 83 of the "Krieghoff Parabellum", (right column fourth picture down). The right side of the barrel extension has the 1st "Lwa" stage II early acceptance proof next to the stage II mid-proof, next to the final acceptance proof. The underside of the barrel is marked with a partial "LWa2/.882/LWa2 proof/11655", that is numbered in the smaller numbered size. The left side of the breechblock has the correct Krieghoff Luftwaffe Eagle firing proof over the LWaA/2 acceptance/inspection proof. It is fitted with the correct late production coarse checkered black plastic grips that are unmarked on the backside. As noted, it is complete with two original matching blue magazines that are stamped on the side of the body, "E/37122/Eagle 37" with the late type 3, Army magazines with aluminum bases correctly stamped on the bottom with only the serial numbers, "11655" with no other proofs. It is complete with a late production, undated black Luger leather holster, that has a single Luftwaffe "Eagle/2" proof on the inside and an original Krieghoff'/Luftwaffe take down tool that has a single "Eagle/2'' proof.

Very fine with 90% of the original blue finish remaining with edge and high spot wear overall with blue loss on the left front sight base and center section of the barrel with some minor touch up blue on the side plate. The grips are in very fine plus condition with nice distinct checkering on both sides, with minimal handling marks. The holster is in good condition with a dark black leather finish that has dulled out be being oiled, however it is very supple and has tight stitching overall, with a clear distinct Luftwaffe/2 proof on the inside. A nice complete all original and high condition Krieghoff Luger rig with two matching magazines that is in mechanically fine condition.
