Scarce Winchester Model 1876 saddle ring carbine in .45 caliber remaining in good to very good original condition, serial number 37028. The metal surfaces show some faint traces of original blue mixed with a brown to gray patina and good visible barrel address. There are some areas of pitting on the barrel just ahead of the front band extending for an area of approximately 3” to 4” and also for 1” at the beginning of the barrel address area. The metal surfaces are otherwisegood to very good with some staining and other areas of minor scattered light to moderate pitting. The original small parts and sights are retained. The stocks are good to very good with some small imperfections, a slight crack in thecomb, minor dings, mars and scratches with normal aging. The loading gate and dust cover show some good original blue. The action is good, the bore is fair to good and may clean Est.: $3500-$7000
