This Third Model 1876 Saddle Ring Lever Action Carbine was manufactured in 1884. The carbine has the Third Model dust cover guide rail which is integrally machined as part of the receiver. The left side of the receiver has a saddle ring staple with ring. Fixed front sight and ladder rear sight with the top of the barrel stamped with the two line address/King patent dates marking ahead of the rear sight and "CAL/45-75" at the breech. The upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1876" which is flanked by brackets. The lower tang has the serial number and the brass cartridge elevator is marked "45-75". Smooth full length forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate. *Additional Information: Stock behind the lower tang is stamped, "LOF. 177."
