Scarce Winchester Model 1200 Trench Shotgun with U.S. Markings
These were the standard commercial Winchester Model 1200 shotguns produced during the late 1960s and mid early 1970s that were purchased/adapted for the military by adding a bayonet lug/heat shield to the barrel, with most destroyed in the mid-1980s. (Note that the bayonet lug/heat shield has been removed on this gun.) Factory proof on the barrel, no proof on the receiver. The left side of the barrel is marked "U.S." over the standard two line Winchester model/address marking over "CYL." The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. Parkerized barrel with remaining surfaces having a black anodized finish. Grooved forearm and smooth pistol grip stock, vented Winchester recoil pad, and sling swivels. Length of pull is 14".

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains over 97% original parkerized finish with some mild thinning and some discoloration. The remaining surfaces retains 95% original black anodized finish with extensive slide wear and some minor scratches, along with some minor spotting on the magazine. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks and a couple minor pressure dents.
