Marked "B6" followed by "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT U.S.A." on top of the barrel in front of the folding ladder rear sight and "45-60" at the breech with a fixed front blade sight, which is not part of the front barrel band. The upper tang has no visible markings and the lower tang has the serial number. The left side of the large caliber frame has a saddle ring mounted on the left side and a standard lever. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a steel crescent buttplate with compartment. It is estimated that approximately 1,000 of these carbines were manufactured.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have been cleaned and there is some minor pitting. Darkened from oil, the wood is also good with some very scattered minor dings and a few minor gouges and dents. Mechanically very good.
