Scarce WWII Camillus U.S.M.C. Raider Stiletto with Sheath
Produced for the 1st and 2nd Marine Raider Battalions and the 1st Marine Division. The knife has a 7 1/8" long, double edged spear point blade, with an etched "USMC" banner and makers marks on one side. Zinc alloy checkered grip and oval guard, engraved on the top with "U.S.M.C.R.", "H.A. ORNSTEIN", a scroll design, palm tree and a 4-leaf clover. With a brown leather reproduction sheath with throat staples and metal reinforcement plates.

Fine. The crisp original unsharpened blade is mostly a mixed gray patina with faint, but legible markings. Grip is excellent, with mild color variations, a small area of verdigris buildup and minor handling marks. Sheath is very fine, with some light scratches.
