Scarce U.S. Springfield M1C Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with Sling and Scope
Produced in December of 1944 as an original M1C, and overhauled during or after the Korean War. Blade and peep sights, with locking bar and "BATTLE RANGE" knob. Springfield barrel, dated "3 45", with a Springfield bolt, hammer, trigger housing and operating rod. The scope base is secured to the left side of the receiver with 2 pins and 3 hex nuts, with a Griffin & Howe quick detach mount and a Lyman Alaskan All-Weather scope with rubber eyepiece. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a "SA/ N.F.R." cartouche on the left side next to the ordnance stamp, circled "P" on the wrist, brown leather lace-up cheekpiece with a single screw and a brown leather sling. With cleaning tools in the buttstock compartment.

Condition: Arsenal refurbished, with 95% of the parkerized finish, showing a blue tint around the receiver heel markings, scattered handling marks and pitting in the enclosed areas. Stock is very fine, with chipping and dents. Light cracks and scuffs are visible on the leather. Optics are fine, mechanically very good.
