Scarce U.S. M2 Sniper Scope Infrared Night Vision Scope
Introduced for use in World War II, these devices were dubbed "sniper" or "snooper" scopes to obscure their true function as highly advanced active infrared night vision hardware. Main tube is 13 1/2" long, with a rubber lens cap and eye piece, and a brass plate near the rear with model and makers markings. The tube is mounted to an ergonomic checkered pistol grip frame, with a pushbutton activator and the 5 1/4" wide emitter lens. With an unmarked power unit, connected by a thick rubber covered line.
