Scarce  U.S.  Army Contract High Standard Supermatic Semi-Automatic Pistol
This is a like new example of a scarce High Standard Model 101 Supermatic pistol manufactured from 1954 to 1957. The left side of the barrel extension is marked "SUPERMATIC", the left side of the slide is marked the same with slanted letters flanked by lightning bolts, and left of the frame is marked "U.S". The right side of the frame is marked with the three line address and caliber designation. The barrel is ported on each side of the front sight, is grooved on the underside to accommodate weights and features a ramped blade front sight and the adjustable rear sight is marked "PAT. NO. / 2438601". Serrated trigger and grip straps, two tone 10 round magazine and fitted with checkered brown plastic grips with right hand thumb rest.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 99% of the original parkerized finish with some light muzzle and high edge wear, and a few minor handling marks overall. The grips are very good plus with a few minor chips, dings and scratches, mainly concentrated on the right panel, and overall the checkering is very crisp. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.
