Remington only manufactured about 2,000 of the Model 1890 Single Action Army revolvers from 1891 to 1894. The Model 1890 was the successor to the Model 1875 and was intended to be the competitor of the Colt Single Action Army. This model revolver is the most sought after of all of the Remington produced handguns. The top of the barrel is marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." and "44 C.F.W" on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder and the serial number is marked on the left side of the frame under the grip. The revolver has a blade front and frame notch rear sights, lanyard stud and ring mounted on the butt, and is fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the "RA" monogram at the tops.
BBL: 7 1/2 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 44-40

The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. A very fine example of a scarce and desirable Remington model 1890 revolver.
