Scarce Tower flintlock Musketoon, .75 cal., 26” round barrel, “in the white” finish, wood stock with brass trigger guard, fore end cap, butt plate and ferrules. This gun is in overall very good condition showing a light grey patina mixed with silvery areas on the barrel; the lock plate is very good with a light coating of dried oil and sharp markings “TOWER” with crown over “GR”; the bore is good and the action is crisp. There are proof marks on the left side of the barrel at the breech, the original two sling swivels are present as is an iron ramrod. The wood stock is in overall good condition showing scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage and an old repair to the fore stock at the muzzle; the bottom front portion of the stock by the lock plate shows an old loss of approx. 2”.
