Scarce Swiss Model 1882 Double Action Revolver with Stock Attachment Slot

Estimate: $950 - 1600
This is an original Swiss Model 1882 revolver as used by the Swiss military from 1882 to as late as 1950. The grooved walnut grips on this revolver indicate that it was a later production model while the earlier guns will be seen with checkered hard rubber grips. This specific pistol has the scarce slot on the underside of the pistol butt that was intended to allow the attachment of a shoulder stock (not included) along with a small lanyard loop. Swiss cross is marked on the left side of hammer, bottom of the trigger guard and rear left barrel flat and various Swiss proofmarks appear on the left side of frame forward of the cylinder. The pistol has all matching serial numbered parts.
