According to the included factory letter, this revolver was shipped to M.W. Robinson of New York City on 4 August 1875, with the nickel finish, 2 1/2 inch barrel and smooth rosewood grips. Blade front and notch rear sights, with the one line Smith & Wesson address correctly stamped on the left side of the barrel, fluted cylinder, checkered hammer and smooth two piece grips. With an unmarked brown leather belt holster with integral top flap.

Condition: Excellent with 95% of the original nickel finish. Showing a few light handling marks, minor flaking and very slight holster wear indicating the pair have been together for most if not all their life. Grips are very good with a tiny chip absent from the left toe, minor dents and strong varnish. The holster is good with typical age cracking and strong stitching. Mechanically excellent.
