Emmet Dalton signed first edition of his Wild West crime memoir, ''When The Daltons Rode'', Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc.: Garden City: 1931. Dalton's autograph inscription in blue ink to the fly-leaf reads in full, ''To my friend / Mr Charles R Hixson / With sincere best wishes / Emmett Dalton / Janry 31, 1931.'' The youngest Dalton brother's account of the time he spent as a member of the infamous bank and train robbery gang runs 313pp. Bound in camel colored cloth boards with smoking gun design in brown print, pictorial endpapers and top edge red. Measures 5.5'' x 8.25''. Some loss of finish to boards, sunning to backstrip and cocking to spine, overall very good.
