Scarce Remington Percussion Cane Gun
Introduced after the Civil War, only the earliest were made in percussion configuration. Steel construction 33" long with a Gutta Percha veneer, stamped "REMINGTON AND SONS/ 26" and "J.P.THOMAS/ PATENT" on the metal tip, with a smooth hooked handle on top. The rear section of the cane pulls back to reveal a combination hold-open and notch sight and the percussion nipple. External firing button.
