Manufactured in 1906, the first year of production. Dovetail blade front sight and 1902 patented adjustable rear sight, with standard markings including "35 REM" hand engraved on the barrel jacket head. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a hard rubber factory buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish (mostly on the receiver) with the balance a smooth brown patina with evidence of being clean some time ago. There is some minor pitting along with some scattered light spotting on the receiver. The refinished wood has some scattered minor handling marks with a minor dent on the forearm (right side).
