One of the most widely sought after Remington handguns, the 1890 was manufactured from 1891 to 1894, with only approximately 2,000 manufactured. A follow-up to the Model 1875, the 1890 was intended to compete against the Colt Single Action Army revolver. Fixed sights, with the top of the barrel marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." and "44 C.F.W." is marked on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder. Grips are checkered hard rubber with "RA" monograms and the lanyard swivel on the butt is absent.

Condition: Good as refinished. The revolver retains 40% of the period refurbished blue finish concentrated on the ejector housing, cylinder and trigger guard. There is some minor pitting on the frame ahead of the cylinder and under the finish on the cylinder. The remaining metal has a smooth brown. The grips are fair with a large chip on the bottom of both panels and overall heavy wear. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
