Scarce Post World War I Weimar Imperial Navy Issue Commercial Luger Pistol Rig

This is a unique example of a early post WWI DWM commercial Luger pistol with an interesting history. This Luger is a 1920 Commercial in the 9mm parabellum caliber (nearly all were 7.65 mm commercial auto caliber). It was later recalled and issued during the build up of the Weimar Navy. It has the standard "Crown/N" commercial proofs on the left side of the barrel extension and breech block and underside of the barrel. It has a blank chamber area, with the original DWM markings on the front toggle. It is numbered in the commercial style with full serial number on the barrel and frame with the last two digits on some of the small parts. The only actual Navy proof mark are the matching Navy marked magazine and the back strap which has the early German Imperial Navy North Sea markings of "M/Anchor/M.668". Both magazine have the early standard nickel plated magazine body with the wooden bases that are marked "N.670/X" and "N.683/+". The holster is a converted WWI type Navy holster the was converted from the 6 inch length to the short 4 inch barrel pattern. The holster still retains the original 1934 pattern short cleaning rod and leather strop holder on the inside of the flap with a short magazine pouch on the side. The back is marked "CHRKASSE/Sathlaur/KARLSCHUE" on the upper corner with the Weimar era markings of "L.Z.A./Eagle/H. Strassburg" on the lower toe area.
