Produced in very limited quantities, and only on special order, German-made Damascus steel blades, typically coming from Solingen, represented some of the most valuable blade sidearms available. While Solingen could manufacture etched and engraved blades at a high rate of speed, the involved nature of the Damascus process, involving multiple passes of folding, hammering, and reforging a single piece of steel, meant these blades could only be produced by a limited number of artisans. Measuring 14 1/2 inches overall, with the 9 3/4 inch blade showing the deeply etched Damascus pattern on the surface. Darkened alloy hilt fittings, with the Nazi eagle crossguard, twisted white celluloid grip, and an oak leaf pommel cap. With a metal sheath and a belt hanger with green velvet backed silver wire straps and oval oak leaf buckles.
