Scarce Mauser/American Historical Foundation Diamond Edition Waffen-SS Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Display Case

Produced on behalf of the American Historical Foundation, using a Mauser "S/42" code, "1937" dated Luger Pistol as the base, this pistol is part of a limited 10 piece commemorative run, being number "9" of that group and bearing the gold-filled initials "J.A.T." on the underside of the triggerguard. Fine Germanic oak leaf and acorn designs with American-style punch dot backgrounds are visible on the barrel and frame, with fine checkerboard patterns around the magazine release and grip screws. Fine golden rings are inlaid at the muzzle and breech, with gold bordering on the left side of the frame and on the sideplate. In the center of the left side panel of the frame are a set of gold inlaid SS runes, and the sideplate features and engraved and inlaid platinum "death's head" skull with inset diamonds for eyes. The small components are gold washed, and the grip panels are smooth fancy grained hardwood. With a glass topped hardwood display case, with an engraved golden plaque and a pre-WWII style Iron Cross ribbon in the upper left corner.
