Scarce Martially-marked Starr DA Model 1858 Navy percussion revolver, .36 cal., 6” barrel, blue finish, wood grips, #1277 in overall very good condition showing a grey patina on metal surfaces with traces of original blue finish in protectedareas, very good bore, crisp action, good markings, inspector initials on parts and a good “JT” inspector’s cartouche on left grip; per Flayderman’s, “The Navy model is the most difficult Starr revolver to acquire, due to itslimited production in comparison with the Army type”; total quantity approx. 3,000 with Government purchase of 2,250 specimens.
