A unique venture for the Marlin Company, this lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1883 action with a longer loading port, modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell, full choke. Unmarked barrel with a single bead front sight and "Marlin/410" marked on the upper tang. Mounted with a smooth finger groove forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Marlin buttplate. Manufactured between 1929 and 1932. Length of pull is 13 5/8 inches.

Condition: Good. The barrel and magazine tube have a smooth brown patina. The receiver has 80% original blue finish with some thinning to a smooth plum patina. The lever and hammer have a smooth brownish patina. The wood is also good as freshened with a crudely repaired splinter on the upper left front of the forearm, there is a moderate chip absent from the toe of the buttplate and overall there are scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The action is fine.
