Auction Date:2009 Jun 24 @ 10:00 (UTC-04:00 : AST/EDT)
Location:6270 Este Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45232, United States
1p, 7.5" x 10", Concord, NH, 3 Apr. 1855. Shield embossed in upper left with trademark for J.S. & E.A. Abbot, Manufacturers of Coaches and Wagons, Concord, N.H. The letter is addressed to John Blain of Belvidere, N.J. The Abbots indicate that 40 buggies were ordered by John Stanton, and the first 20 had not yet been picked up. Abbot indicates that these are not useful to anyone else (apparently a special order), so if the state no longer wants them, can they at least help finding a buyer for them. In case Mr. Stanton should not be here soon we must dispose of them as they are filling up our factory.

The Thomas Minckler Collection of Western Americana
