Scarce Japanese Arisaka Type 2 Paratrooper bolt-action takedown military rifle, 7.7mm cal., 26” barrel, military blue finish, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, sling swivels and leather sling, aircraft rear sights, dust cover, wood stock,metal butt plate, #17014. This gun is in overall very good condition showing considerable military blue finish mixed with a plum patina; bolt and bayonet lug numbered to this gun (#014) and the additional number 849 stamped on the receiver,both parts of the metal sleeves of the takedown portion of the rifle (left side), on the left side of the barrel at the muzzle, on the face of the takedown pin and on the dust cover; very good bore, crisp action, good markings with ground mumbut clear Japanese characters on the top of the receiver; the wood stock is in overall very good condition with correct two-piece laminated butt stock and some scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage. A really great ParatrooperArisaka and hard-to-find in any condition let alone with matching parts and a rear sight that has retained its aircraft “wings”. Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
