Scarce James Warner Solid Frame Revolving Rifle
One of approximately 350 produced circa 1850s. Blade front and adjustable sporting rear sights, with the serial number on the underside of the barrel, wood cleaning rod, and a loading lever. The top strap is marked "JAMES WARNER. SPRINGFIELD, MASS." and the cylinder is stamped with the Warner patent marking. Manually turned cylinder, with the release lever inside the finger rest trigger guard. Smooth straight grip stock, with a metal buttplate and small storage compartment.

Condition: Good as partially refinished, with a smooth brown-gray patina, minor flash pitting and some evidence of cleaning overall. The loading lever has limited traces of original case colors. The rear ramrod channel has been repaired, and the rear sight is slightly bent. The refinished stock has a few hairline cracks near the tang and some scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically good.
