Scarce Hungarian FEG Model 1901 Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured from 1901 to 1903, this odd looking pistol was not much of a success. It is chambered for the 8 mm cartridge which was the forerunner of the 8mm Roth Steyr. The barrel is knurled at the muzzle end and housed in a collar which is part of the frame. It has a rotary bolt, external hammer and is recoil operated with a 10 round magazine. The left side of the frame is marked "FEGYVERGYAR - BUDAPEST FROMMER PAT." and the serial number. Blue finish with bright trigger, hammer and grip safety, nickel magazine with wooden bottom, lanyard ring on the toe and fitted with serrated walnut grips.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 8 mm
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 3006
Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with wear on the muzzle and high edges, and some scattered minor spotting. The grips are very good with a few minor dings and dents and overall moderate wear. The frame marking has a weak stamp, otherwise the markings are clear. The action is excellent.
