A variation of the Reising Model 50, the Model 55 was adopted by the United States Marine Corps for issue to vehicle crewmen and Marine Paratroopers. Though lighter and more accurate than the Thompson SMG, the Reising had reliability and maintenance issues during jungle warfare, with many being returned Stateside for use by police and personnel guarding war material. Blade and adjustable peep sights, with "P/S" marked next to the cooling fins on the barrel, three line markings on top of the receiver, and the three position "SAFE S.A. F.A." selector switch on the right side. Smooth stock, with "U.S./ 8" on the right side above the pistol grip, a sling swivel on the grip cap, and the side folding wire buttstock. NOTE: This firearm is classified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a "Machine Gun". This is a fully transferable NFA Class III Firearm currently on a Form 4. You are required to check your state and/or local laws as to whether or not you may own this. This weapon can be transferred to a Class III dealer at no charge. Buyer pays all other transfer fees and stamps.
