One of the most widely sought Remington handguns, the 1890 was produced from 1891 to 1894, with only around 2000 made total. A follow-up to the Model 1875, the 1890 was intended to compete against the Colt Single Action Army revolver. Fixed sights, with the top of the barrel marked "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y." and "44 C.F.W." is marked on the left side of the frame just below the cylinder. Grips are checkered hard rubber with "RA" monograms and a lanyard swivel on the butt.
