This desirable Colt Model 1911 was manufactured in the third serial number block, in early 1917, with the U.S. shortly there after entering WWI. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block, Colt factory patent dates of 1897-1913 and the factory address, followed by the Rampant Colt, behind the serrations.
