Scarce Early Production Smith & Wesson 44 Hand Ejector First Model Triple Lock Double Action Target
Manufactured from 1908 until 1915. This early production Smith & Wesson target revolver features pinned blade and adjustable notch rear sights, 6-round fluted cylinder, shrouded ejector housing, and the cylinder yoke fitted with the signature Triple Lock, a feature unique to the First Model .44 Hand Ejector. Right side of the frame has the large S&W logo and the top of the barrel has the two line address/patent dates marking with the caliber marking on the left side. Nickel plated with gold plated sights, cylinder, hammer, trigger, cylinder latch and ejector rod. Fitted with smooth pearl grips.

Condition: Refinished. The frame and barrel retain 98% plus of the nickel finish with some scattered light flaking. There is some minor pitting on the right side plate under the finish. The nickel has a slight frost appearance. The remaining surfaces retain 97% of the gold plating with wear on the high edges. The slightly ill-fitting grips are very good with few minor chips missing on the repaired right panel (toe repaired) and some minor scratches.
