Manufactured in 1905. Colt only manufactured 976 Bisley Flat Top Target Model revolvers, and of those only 98 were chambered in 38-40 caliber. Standard one line Hartford address stamped on top of the barrel, the left side of the barrel is marked "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F.", and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The assembly number "9046" is marked on the loading gate. Blue with casehardened hammer. Replacement blade front sight, frame notch rear sight and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top.

Condition: Fine as partially refinished.The revolver retains 30% original blue finish mixed with gray patina. There is some minor pitting on the back strap and some minor spotting and pitting on the cylinder. Overall there are a few small minor dings. The front sight base has been reattached with evidence of refinished blue, only in the immediate area of the repair. The slightly undersize replacement grips are very fine with a few minor nicks on the lower edges and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
