Rare 19th Century U.S. Army Mule Driving Harness Set. This unusual complete set came from a central Florida lady whose grandfather served in the U.S.Calvary in the 19th century. All the pieces in this set were hand forged with additional copper U.S. Army badges throughout many of the pieces. This set pre-dates World War 1 as the mules were all executed by the Army during that time instead of giving them away when their use was no loner in the Army’s plans. The wood used is carved from old world oak and one can see where all the pieces were hand rubbed by a craftsmen. The leather remains vibrant and strong despite obviously living through many battles. Without sounding arrogant but I would assume this is one of the few remaining sets known to exist, If not the only one? I have taken several photographs of this set for your consideration. Estate fresh.
