These Grand European Combination Guns were manufactured in Japan from 1983 to 1985. This rifle features a 12 gauge shotgun barrel over a .223 Rem caliber rifle barrel. The shotgun barrel is chambered for 3" shells and is equipped with the Winchoke system. Both are equipped with ejectors. The barrel is fitted with a Lyman raised ramp front blade sight with brass bead and an adjustable rear folding leaf rear sight mounted on a matte quarter rib marked "Grand European" in script. There are scope mount bases on the quarter rib. Standard barrel markings. The barrels are blue with jeweled side flats and breech face and the remaining parts are finished coin. The action is engraved with a moose on the left side, two capercaillie fighting on the right side and a bugling red stag on the bottom which is also marked "Grand / European" in an oval panel, all surrounded by floral scroll engraving. The trigger guard and forearm knuckle have floral scroll engraving and there is a feather design on the break lever. Single trigger, tang mounted automatic safety and mounted with a checkered select walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with engraved grip cap, raised comb, cheek piece and solid rubber Winchester recoil pad.
