Scarce Brooklyn Arms Standard Pocket Revolver
Manufactured circa 1863 to 1863, this revolver is the variant with the standard straight unfluted .32 rimfire cylinder. Less than 100 of these revolvers were produced. It has a brass pin front sight, frame groove rear sight and 6-shot cylinder. The brass frame has a simple broad scroll engraving and a spur trigger. The matching low serial number is stamped on the frame under the left grip, bottom of barrel and on the rear face of the cylinder. Fitted with smooth two piece grips.

Very good. The barrel has mottled gray patina and the cylinder has a smooth brown-gray patina. There is some fine pin prick pitting. The brass frame has an even aged patina with traces of original silver plating around the cylinder pin with some minor dings on the butt. The engraving is clear and crisp. The bottom edge has some chipping (right panel) and an absent chip (left panel), otherwise the grips are good with some minor handling marks overall and some moderate pressure dents contained to the bottoms. About half of the varnish remains. Mechanically functions, but cylinder does not lock up. Needs work.
