Scarce Blued Finish Remington Model 1875 Single Action Army Revolver
Approximately 25,000 Model 1875's were manufactured between 1875 and 1889. Marked "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A" on top of the barrel. The serial number is marked on the left side of the grip frame under the grip and "9" is marked in pencil on the inside of each grip panel. Pinched blade front sight and notch rear sight. Fitted with smooth two piece walnut grips with a small "44" stamped on the bottom of the left panel and a lanyard ring and stud on the butt. Seldom are these Remington Model 1875's found in blue finish as many were nickel plated.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% original blue finish with overall thinning and high edge wear with areas of smooth brown and gray patina. The grips are also excellent with some wear and small chips on the lower edges and overall a few minor dings and dents. The action needs work, the cylinder doesn't rotate when the hammer is cocked. The markings are crisp and clear. These blued Remington Model 1875's in this excellent condition are highly desirable!
