This Al Furstnow Saddlery handcrafted holster rig circa 1900 has a holster that would accommodate a Colt Single Action Army revolver with a 4 3/4 inch or a 5 1/2 inch barrel. The open top, closed toe holster is decorated with brass rivets along the edges. The front body of the holster is stamped "AL. FURSTNOW/MILES CITY, MONT." inside a rectangular box. The cartridge money belt is also stamped "AL. FURSTNOW/MILES CITY, MONT." inside a box. The belt buckle is nickel plated. Al Furstnow Saddlery (1884-1946) produced high quality leather goods and was one the best known Miles City, Montana, saddlers.

Good. The belt shows overall age cracking. The holster shows some minor scratches and flex wear. The belt buckle retains 75% frosted original nickel plating with the belt strap having been shortened the equivalent of two belt notches.The stitching is tight. The markings are crisp.
