This is a scarce example of a 45 auto caliber Colt Shooting Master Target Revolver. The accompanying factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length and finish with the type of stocks not listed. The revolver was shipped to Kimball Sporting Goods Company, Tacoma, Washington, on August 1, 1934 as a single gun shipment. The revolver is equipped with an elevation adjustable blade front sight and a windage adjustable rear sight with checkered hammer and trigger. The barrel has the two line Hartford address/patent dates marking on the top and the left side is marked "COLT SHOOTING MASTER .45 AUTO." The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with the number "3" and the Colt triangle proof. The Rampant Colt is stamped on the left side plate. It is fitted with checkered grips featuring the Colt medallion at the top.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original blue finish showing holster type wear on the barrel, some minor edge wear and a strong cylinder drag line. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks (mostly on the bottoms) and some minor blemishes in the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
