Scarce 1934 Contract/Commercial Mauser Luger
This is an example of a commercial Luger produced in the post 1940 time frame. These were standard Lugers that interspersed with the military contract pistols that were intended for either commercial or contract sales. The only markings on the entire pistol is a Mauser Banner logo on the rear toggle, and a single small Eagle Nazi (1940 era) commercial proof on the left side of the barrel extension. The serial number is stamped on the various parts of the pistol, with the frame being the only part to carry the complete serial number , while the rest of the parts have only the last two digits with the barrel being unnumbered . It has the standard checkered walnut grips with a single blued matching serialized aluminum base magazine.

Condition: Excellent with 95% of the original blued finish showing wear edges and high spots overall with more wear on the front edges of the frame rails, the left side of the muzzle, the side plate hump, the trigger guard bow with thinning on the grip straps and stock lug, The grips are in fine condition showing wear and flat spots on both sides of the grip panels. Mechanically excellent.
