Model of the ranch from ''Casa de Mi Padre.'' Will Ferrell's spoof of Spanish-language soap operas was shot on a low budget of 6 million dollars; in lieu of costly aerial shots of a real ranch estate, production commissioned this model. Detailed scale model features the ranchero property and outbuildings set upon realistic desert-scape topography, complete with elevated rockfaces and chaparral. A classic courtyard with a fountain in the center lies adjacent to the home. A dirt road curves along beside the structures. Stucco buildings are each traditionally roofed in faux terra cotta. Four horses add life to the model. The estate was at the heart of the plot, as Will Ferrell's character and the other protagonists fight to pay off their father's debts in order to keep it in the family. Main house measures 16'' x 10.5'' and 5.5'' in height. Scene is mounted to a wooden frame and overall measurements are 70'' long by 45'' wide. It stands 18.5'' tall at its lowest and 30'' at its highest. Some nicks to the stone and breakage to the scrub, else near fine. With COA from It's a Wrap.
