A clipped signature of "Alf. Scadding Moose River Gold Mines Nova Scotia." On April 12, 1936, three men were trapped 43 metres underground when Nova Scotia's Moose River gold mine collapsed around them. The men included a 42-year-old mine timekeeper named Alfred Scadding and two of the mine's owners.
