Thomas of La Porte, Plumas County, CA. Selling of the Company for $12,500 in Gold Coin, at Richmond Hill, Saw Pit Flat and Onion Creek. Signed by E.B. Reid as president and J.W. Clark as secretary. Notarized by Price in SF, CA. 2 pages, 3 fold. 3) Bill of Sale, dated Dec 4, 1860 in Sierra County, CA. Issued by George Phillips to A.S. Cooly and Thomas M. Cooly, both of Spanish Flat, Sierra County, CA.; selling his water rights he had at Spanish Sierra County, known as the Old Dublin Water Ditch, including Philips' mining claim located on the north side of Wisconsin Ravine. Saw Pit Flat, previous to 1852 in Butte County, was now in Sierra County and very busy during that time, miners were starting to drive tunnel in 1854. for 15 years, it was a lively community supporting 40 gold mines.
