Savage revolving percussion Navy Model revolver, .36 cal., 7” octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #13188. This Civil War era side arm is in overall good to very good condition showing approx. 30% original blue on the barrel assembly and approx. 80% original blue on the cylinder; there are traces of case color on the frame and hammer with the balance gone to a soft silvery hue; the markings are sharp, the action crisp and the bore is overall good. The grips are in very good condition showing a sharp cartouche on the left grip, an “H” inspector stamp on the bottom of that grip, and a clearly stamped “H” on the frame, barrel and cylinder. This gun is also accompanied by a period leather military style flap holster that fits this gun and is in overall good condition. The inside of the flap of this holster shows remnants of an old inscription: “T. D. Ped_ _ _ _ , Co C _53”. A very nice Savage with a great period holster. Est.: $1,250-$2,500.
