SN: 0C10949 WWII era British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Produced in the United States by Savage-Stevens for the war effort via the lend-lease program. Features a blued finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, receiver mounted flip-up dual aperture "L"rear sight, two barrel bands, serrated trigger, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, tan canvas sling, integral charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, grooved full-length wood handguard, smooth forend and straight grip shoulder stock with metal trapdoor buttplate containing a plastic oiler. The left side of the receiver is marked with a flaming bomb, "U.S. PROPERTY" and "S No 4 Mk 1.* Rifle exhibits only trace amounts of it's blued finish with the majority of the metal surfaces displaying varying tones of grey patina. Action is smooth but the bolt head will occasionally pop out of the slot in the rail, the two land bore is good and the wood stocks are very good.
