SN: 27C8107 British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British, manufactured in the United States circa 1942. Imported into Sacramento, C.A. with an incomplete importer stamp on the top of the barrel. Features a black painted finish, 25.2" barrel with integral bayonet lugs, shrouded patridge front sight, receiver mounted flip-up aperture rear sight graduated to 1,300 yards, two barrel bands, serrated trigger, detachable 10 round magazine, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, hollowed bolt handle, tan canvas sling, integral charge loading guide cuts in the receiver, grooved full-length wood handguard, smooth forend with reinforcement screw, and straight grip shoulder stock with metal trapdoor buttplate. The left side of the receiver is marked "U.S.PROPERTY," "No4.Mk1/3(F)FTR," "No 4 Mk 1*,"(lined out) & "/52. 27C8107." The barrel shows nitro proof marks on the underside. Rifle exhibits approximately 90% of it's black paint finish nearly all of its black paint finish showing light scattered wear.
