Martially marked antique lever action percussion revolver chambered for .36 caliber ammunition, manufactured circa 1861-1865. The Union purchased just under 12,000 of these unique revolvers during the Civil War for the Army & Navy. Features a 7" octagon barrel, brass pinched post front sight, fixed 'v' notched rear sight, loading lever, non-fluted six-shot cylinder, smooth trigger, ring lever, heart shaped trigger guard, smooth hammer spur and two-piece smooth walnut grips. The side plate and the grip have been replaced. Stamped with inspector mark "H" on the barrel. Revolver exhibits an aged dark grey patina showing scattered dings & pin prick pitting. The tip of the hammer and right side of the rear sight both show some damage. Action is mechanically sound, the bore is good, markings are good and the replaced wood grips are fine.
