Serial Number is 272012 so Year of Manufacture is 1925

Caliber: 250- 3000 Savage
Action Type: Lever Action with Internal Rotary Magazine plus counter window.

Markings: The top of the barrel is marked close to receiver 250-3000 .
The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number - Top of the barrel
markings are Manufactured by Savage Arms Corp - and then the address and patent date.

Barrel Length: 21 inches Round

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a dovetailed blade attached to the
barrel. The rear sight is a Dockendorf adjustable sight. There is a vintage steel
bodied cresent butt plate

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece walnut with a straight
comb, soft rubber recoil pad has plastic electrical tape around it..
There are crack repairs showing behind the reciever plus wood plugs and other cracks still showing.
Appears tight.
There are almost no scratches, nicks, and compressions which indicates stocks
have been refinished. Forestock has a crack at end on r/hand side.

Take Down mechanism is very stiff and hard to work but its there.

Bore Condition: The bore is worn and the rifling is low.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 20% of its metal finish overall.
The receiver sides and barrel exterior are pitted and rough .

The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in a 3/10 condition.
There are holes in stock where sling mounts used to be attached.

Mechanics: The action appears to function as intended.
